The 420J2 stainless steel belt is a grade of stainless steel produced according to the American ASTM standard. Japanese standard SUS420J2, new standard 30Cr13, old standard 3Cr13, digital code S42030, euro 1.4028.
The hardness of 420 series steel after heat treatment is about HRC52~55, but the resistance to damage and other aspects of the performance is not very outstanding. The 420 stainless steel is also known as "cutting tool grade" martensite steel because it is easier to cut and polish. 420J2 also known as 3Cr13 is martensitic stainless steel, used after quenching and tempering. Compared with 1Cr13 and 2Cr13 steel, it has higher strength, hardness and hardenability, but its corrosion resistance and thermal stability below 700℃ are lower than 1Cr13 and 2Cr13 steel. Cold working performance and welding performance is not good, welding should be immediately after heat treatment to prevent cracking. It has good cutting performance in annealing state.Bar and forging: oil quenching or air cooling at 1000 ~ 1050℃, tempering at 200 ~ 300℃. Plate: 740 ~ 780℃ annealing or high temperature tempering.Smelting and casting process: electric arc furnace, electric arc furnace + electroslag remelting and other smelting methods.
