high quality ASTM A36 hot rolled steel angle

ASTM A36 hot rolled steel angle is American Standard carbon structural steel, the implementation standard is ASTM A36/A36M-03a, the main chemical components are as follows:
C: = 0.25, Si = 0.40, Mn = 0.80-1.20, P = 0.04, S = 0.05, Cu = 0.20.

There is no material corresponding to A36 in China, and its performance is between Q235 and Q345 of Chinese standard. The main elements of the two materials are as follows:
Q235:C = 0.22%, Mn = 1.4%, Si = 0.35%, S = 0.050%, P = 0.045%
Q345:C = 0.20%, Mn = 1.70%, Si = 0.50%, P = 0.035%, S = 0.035%

If you need to use the Chinese materials to replace, you can according to the "high generation low" principle, use Q345 instead.

A36 hot rolled steel angle is similar to Q235B steel angle, but the difference between A36 and Q235B are as follows:
1.the yield point is not the same :(A36=250MPa, Q235B=235MPa);
2.different tensile strength (A36=400-550MPa, Q235B=375-500MPa);
3.different content of elements:
A36: C = 0.25%, Si = 0.4%, P = 0.04%, S = 0.05%;
Q235B:C=0.12- 0.2%, Si = 0.3, P = 0.045%, S= 0.045% Mn=0.30-0.70%
A36 did not require the manganese content.

If only compared from the mechanical properties of materials, A36 hot rolled steel angle is similar to that of 20#. The tensile strength of 20# steel is not less than 410Mpa, and the yield strength is not less than 245Mpa. It is similar to the mechanical properties of A36.

A36 hot rolled steel angle is widely used in bridges, vehicles, ships, buildings, pressure vessels, special equipment and so on.
