Grade 416 is an free-cutting and free-machining stainless steel.It is one of martensitic stainless steel of 400 series,by adding with sulphur with 0.15% min.,to make steel easy to be cut and machined.As the addition of sulphur could reduce formability,adjust weldability and corrosion resistance.Below is the chemical compostion for SS416 as per ASTM A582.
