The 17-4ph alloy is a precipitated, hardened, martensitic stainless steel composed of copper, niobium/columbium.This grade has high strength and hardness (up to 300º C / 572 & ordm; F) and corrosion resistance.After heat treatment, the mechanical properties of the product are more perfect, and the compressive strength can reach up to 1100-1300 mpa (160-190 ksi). This level cannot be used for higher than 300 ℃ (572 ℉) or very low temperatures, in the atmosphere and dilute acid or its salt has good corrosion resistance, it has the corrosion resistance of 304 and 430.

Heat treatment regime:


Solid solution heat treatment specification: 1) 1020 ~ 1060 ℃ cold fast
2) 480 ℃ ageing, after solid solution treatment, 470 ~ 490 ℃ air cooling
3) 550 ℃ ageing, after solid solution treatment, 540 ~ 560 ℃ air cooling
4) 580 ℃ ageing, after solid solution treatment, 570 ~ 590 ℃ air cooling
5) 620 ℃ ageing, after solid solution treatment, 610 ~ 630 ℃ air cooling.
Microstructure: the microstructure is characterized by precipitation hardening.
