Stainless steel is widely used in various fields. According to its’ different processing technics, the finish is also different.
What surface finishes are available on stainless steels?
1.No.1 ---------Usually it is the surface for hot rolled products such as hot rolled stainless steel plate, hot rolled stainless steel seamless pipe. The products are hot rolled, then do the heat treatment, finally do the pickling.
2.2B-------------It is the surface for cold rolled products such as cold rolled stainless steel coil, cold rolled stainless steel sheet/strip, welded pipe with thickness less than 3mm etc. The surface is matt finish, not so bright, but it is smooth and plane.
3.No.4/Brush/hairline
4.BA and mirror
Both of them are very bright, mirror finish is brighter which is like a mirror.
