TATA steel raises wire rod prices

TATA Steel is raising transaction prices for UK April 2011 deliveries of wire rod produced at its Scunthorpe Rod Mill.
Costs will increase by a minimum of GBP 125, with some grades rising by as much as GBP 150 per tonne. The increase comes as a result of the continuous increase in raw material costs and escalation in product demand. The cost of April 2011 deliveries of Scunthorpe wire rod in all other markets will also rise between GBP 125 and GBP 150 per tonne equivalent.
